5th Annual Fishtown Freeze Weekend

Highlights of the Fishtown Freeze Weekend include interactive live ice sculpture carvings by Ice Sculpture Philly (1:00pm Lutheran Settlement House, 2:30pm Garage, 4:00pm Mural City Garden) and, new this year, outdoor pop-up makers markets throughout the day on December 9, plus holiday shopping at the area’s independent boutiques at our Shopping Spree, photos with Santa, food and drink specials at all your favorite restaurants, caroling, and even more holiday fun all weekend long! There is no admission fee and most individual events are free.

The schedule of events is as follows:

Fishtown Freeze: Saturday December 9 (rain date for ice sculptures, live carves and outdoor markets is Sunday December 10)

**10:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Dog Tintype Portraits at Vanity Tintype [pre-booking encouraged: Scheduling — Vanity Tintype] (2316 Coral St)

** 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Vintage and Craft Vendors with warm beverages at the outdoor bar at Johnny Brenda’s (Frankford & Girard Avenues)

** 12 NOON – 20+ Custom Ice Sculptures carved by Ice Sculpture Philly at businesses around the neighborhood

** 12 NOON – 4:00 PM – Free Photos with Santa at Frankford Hall (1210 Frankford Avenue)

** 1:00 – 1:45 PM – Live Ice Sculpture Carve at Lutheran Settlement House (1340 Frankford Avenue)

** 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM – The International Bar Outdoor Holiday Makers Market with warm butter washed rum in hot cider, holiday ham and raclette cheese (PAYG) in the Front & Cecil B Moore Plaza

** 2:30 – 3:15 PM – Live Ice Sculpture Carve at Garage (Frankford & Girard Avenues)

** 3:00-6:00 PM – Mural City Garden Pop Up Market with Myrtle & Magnolia wreath-making & winter floral sale, festive beverages from Mural City Cellars, arts & crafts for kids (2211 Frankford Avenue)

** 3:30 PM or 6:00 PM – Pizza with Santa at Vince’s Pizzeria, two seatings (965 Frankford Avenue)

** 4:00 – 4:45 PM – Live Ice Sculpture Carve at Mural City Garden at (2211 Frankford Avenue)

** All Day/Night – Cocktail Crawl featuring festive holiday beverages at more than a dozen Fishtown area bars and restaurants. 21+ only, please enjoy responsibly

Sculptures will be located at: Alamodak Restaurant, Cake Life Bake Shop, Cheu/Nunu, Cloud 9 Clay, Fishtown Animal Hospital, Fishtown Jewelers, Fishtown Social, Fishtown Tavern, Front Street Café, Garage, International Bar, JINXED, Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop, Johnny Brenda’s, Lutheran Settlement House (live carve), Mural City Garden (live carve), Philadelphia Distilling, PROPER Goods, Riverwards Produce, Sancho Pistolas, Two Robbers, and Vince’s Pizzeria

The holiday shopping spree is a progressive sale at more than 20 local, independent shops and boutiques. Customers get increasing discounts the more they shop, starting with 5% off their first store during the event, and increasing discounts up to 20% for all additional participating stores for the weekend, plus complimentary beverages and holiday snacks at select locations along the way. Shoppers can also enjoy food and drink specials once they’ve made 4 purchases, including a complimentary glass of bubbles at Fishtown Social.
